I'm back! Still not planning to write often like I used to do but I just wanted to say something. So many things have happened since last November. I've been working in UPM since January, and I have still a little bit more than a week left. And in the spring I was reading for the exam and I GOT IN! So I'll be starting my business studies in Tampere, 15th of August. I'm sooo happy! I'm also working for Cultural Care part time, I'm the recruitment leader in Tampere. So if you are planning to become an aupair and you are living in Tampere or near, welcome to my info!
I've been in a relationship about 10 months now and we moved to Tampere with my boyfriend. These next eight days we are still living in my parents house so we are saving like 200 euros because we don't have to buy the bus cards. We are both working here in Valkeakoski, but after my work we'll be moving to Tampere for real. All the things are there, but we still need to unpack everything and organize. Moving is hard and taking lots of time.
So I'm trying to think what has been happening during the past 9 months. In the fall/winter time I was going to different gym classes pretty often, like 3-5 times per week. But in spring I wasn't so active so a little bit less. Now I'm just doing long walks when I have time but it's good that I don't have car so I'm biking or walking everywhere so I'm moving a lot every day!
In February me and my friend and her mom went to Helsinki to see Apassionata. It's a horse show, I've seen it once many years ago but it was pretty much the same. In February I went to see my cousin's "old dance" which we have in the second year of high school. There were so many pretty dresses, pretty girls and handsome boys! Next year my sister will be dancing!
In winter I went back to my old work, but just twice. I was selling tickets to the night club but I realised again it's not for me. I'm so tired in the nights and it's kind of boring just sit and force to keep yourself awake!
In April me and my friend went to Tampere to see some horse show, there was Kari Vepsä showing how to handle panicky horses. He is kind of "horse whisper" and he is amazing! That horse was pretty easy, not stressing too much about anything but still that guy can handle horses!!
In spring it was first time when I was watching the ice hockeys world championship games! I was watching because T was watching and it was pretty exciting and fun!
In June I went to my friend's graduation party, she graduated from high school! In midsummer we were in a summer cottage in Sappee, it was a fun weekend! In summer I've been also going to see a dentist totally too many times!! How many times you need to go there because of one tooth? I went during one month eight times!! I hate dentist and it's not done yet, I still need to go at least couple more times in Tampere. :(
Last weekend we had a big festival here in Valkeakoski. It's called Valkeakosken työväen musiikkitapahtuma and there were many famous finnish bands, called Jukka Poika, Erin, Pariisin Kevät, Haloo Helsinki!, Apulanta and Michael Monroe. It was a funfunfun weekend! :)
So those are the biggest things I guess. Lets see if I'm getting interested again to write my blog but I can't promise anything, I don't have so much time, I'm pretty busy all the time!

VR
This is not really working, but I'm still trying, I'm not going to give up so easily!
I want to talk about VR (it's our only train company in Finland). On Wednesday morning I left in a hurry and drove to Toijala. The train station's parking lot was totally ful, so I needed to drive a little bit far away to some grocery store's parking lot. Then I was running back to the station, planning to buy a ticket from the ticket machine. And what did I saw, my train was 40min late! At the same time I saw that the ticket machine wasn't working, so I was without the ticket and the train (in Toijala there's nobody selling tickets, so the machine is the only option).
I called my mum and she went to check from Internet the trains. And the quicker option was taking intercity train to Tampere (north) change the train there to Helsinki (south). So I took that train, and there the conductor came to check the tickets. I told her that I need to buy a ticket to Helsinki, and she didn't even know that she can sell that. She was just explaining that she can sell the ticket to Tampere and there I need to buy the next ticket. Finally she found out that she can sell me the ticket straight to Helsinki, but there's a 5 euro extra when I'm buying it from the train. How they can do that??? I didn't have any choices to buy the ticket from Toijala, and If I would bought it from internet, I would have a wrong ticket for this train. The normal train from Toijala to Helsinki was supposed to be intercity and it's under 13 euros. Now I took the intercity to Tampere and from Tampere I was supposed to take pendolino, which is quicker and more expensive, so with that 5 euros extra my ticket was 24 euros.
So my train arrived to Tampere and what I found out? My pendolino train is 50min late!!! I was running around and I found out that the intercity was leaving at that time to Helsinki. I jumped in to that train and I was swearing the VR far, far away... So at the end, I payed for nothing totally too much, because the train stopped in Toijala (it was the train what I was supposed to take first). So i just went to Tampere and back for nothing. And what was the reason that the trains were late? They were just saying that some machineproblem? And what is that, I have no idea. Now they can't blame the snow, so they need to think something else. I think it's so wrong that VR has monopoly in the railways. If there would be some other company the tickets would be cheaper and everything would be working. Now VR can do whatever they want and don't care what people are thinking. Many people need to use train going to work etc., so even though VR is not working, people are still using trains. Argh! Finally at 11.46 the train arrived to Pasila and I run to the exam (I had the exam at 12 o'clock), and I made it! I didn't really read to the exam, so I'm not waiting to get in. I don't even know If I want to study that but we'll see. My pland is to get in to the school on next fall!

New old camera
I just wanted to show you what I found! My mum had this old professional camera in her cabinet! My dad had bought it 1997, and I think it's pretty cool! I need to buy a roll of film so I can try it!
Last week I was free the whole week, so on Tuesday when Essi's parents went to visit Essi in Jyväskylä, I went with them. We spent the day there and in the evening we drove back home.
On Saturday me and Essi went to shopping to Tampere! I bought some Christmas gifts and some clothes. And we were supposed to go to Ikea, but there was no sign where to turn, so we passed that and couldn't get there. Later I went to party with Miitta and Martsu to Cabaret! It was really fun night but the next day wasn't so fun...
Now I'm a little bit sick :( Yesterday in the gym I was feeling tired and couldn't do everything as well as normal, and today I'm feeling more bad. I don't want to be sick! My nose is running and I'm so tired. But I have been in Finland already over 2 months and I haven't been sick! Because in the States I was sick at least once a month.

But now I have good time to watch tv, and I have found really good series, Pretty Little Liars! That is some American teenager series, I love and hate that... And I'm addicted, but it's interesting! :D

Recruitment leader
On Thursday and Friday I was working in the club, and on Thursday evening I went to zumba and on Friday I went to try rumbita. It was my first time trying rumbita, and that was ok. First time when I went to try zumba I was quite confused also and I thought that it was ok but nothing more. But I quess when you practise and you know more, it's easier and funnier! So propably I'll be going again, hope so then I'm a little bit better. But if somebody doesn't know, rumbita is a kind of dance, flamenco etc.
On Saturday morning I took a bus to Tampere, once again! There was cultural care's info, and now when it's official, I can tell it here also, I'm the new Recruitment leader in Tampere! :) Next month I'll be doing the info by myself.
After the info I met my friend Tiia! <3 She drove from Masku to Tampere, so we did a little bit shopping and then we came to Valkeakoski. We got ready and later we went to Cabaret, it's Valkeakoski's night club. We had fun night, but it is still so confusing to see in the club people who are born in 1993... I'm feeling myself old... :D We got tired a little bit before 3am and we walked home. It's fun going to party but getting yourself home isn't so fun.
On Sunday we were just sleeping, watching tv, for example the finnish movie Fc Venus and playing some games. Tiia left 6pm and then I spent the evening on the phone with Essi. I did a little walk with my mum also, so I wasn't just laying on the couch the whole day ;)
Today I'm going to do couple things and I have lots of plans for the rest of the week, so we'll see what's going to happen!
I put pictures from the tablecloth what my neighbor sent to me. I love it, it's so cute! It's handmade in Madagascar! And I was trying to take some pictures one day of the rainbow.

A surprise work day
Finally I got couple pictures from the airport when I came home! I'm just a little bit late with these, but better late than not at all.
Today I woke up 8.30am and I was just relaxing. Suddenly I got a phone call from the daycare really close to my home, that they need me today. They called 9.20am and I started to work 10am. :D It was fun day and it's different than in the other place, because here during the day we are going outside also, what we are not doing in the club.
I worked there until 4pm, and now I'm watching a movie what I recorded yesterday. Guess who -movie (in finnish it's The groom of the dream, totally different...), Ashton Kutcher has a leading role!
Later we went to a gym with my mum, it was a great class! I did really hard workout, so after that I was feeling really good. :p

A package from the States
Yesterday I didn't really do anything super exciting. I was hanging out home, went to grocery store with my mom and in the afternoon I was talking on skype with Alex <3 Soon my girl is coming home and then I can go to Austria!
Later I went to gym with my mum, it was really good workout hour again. And when we came home, it was pooring and freezing cold!! It takes just like 3min to ride your bicycle home but still I was totally wet. Always I need to come really fast home from the gym, because it ends 7.30pm and same time is coming my favorite finnish tv series, "Secret Lives". Now it's so thrilling, it's really hard to wait for the next day until the next episode is coming. And weekends are the worst because then there's no new episodes coming. :( I'm not addicted... :D
This morning I went to see a psychologist, I went to talk about my weird problems. Last week in the States when I went to snorkling (?), I "got" problems with breathing. That snorkling was scary, I couldn't understand how you can breath just with your mouth with that tube. Well, I could do that a little bit but later I started to feel that I can't breath well... But nothing was wrong with my breathing, it was just the though of snorkling still in my head. So I was talking about that kind of problems, but she said that they are normal, and I just should not try to think it and take deep breaths if those thoughts come back.
After that I went to see my friend Martsu. We watched The Princess and the Frog, that was great! And when I came home, I had a package from the States waiting for me!!! My lovely neighbor sent it to me! <3 That really made my day and now I'm thinking really hard what should I send to them for Christmas!
In the afternoon I was skyping with my Thai -friend Sue! :) And I went for walk with my mum for 1h 45min, that was tiring! Now I'm so tired and I'm planning going to sleep. :D

PS. Those hearts and balloons were for me when I came home from the States. My mum made them for me <3 And Essi made the white sign!

Raaseborg's castle
On Friday my day in the work was feeling really long. But finally at 3pm I was off and my grandma was waiting me in the parking lot. She drove me to Toijala to the train station. Ticket machine was working but I couldn't get a ticket so I thought that it's still not working. So when my train came, I went in and it was overfull! There was no place to sit, all the seats were full an people were standing and sitting on the floor. That was what I had to do also, I was sitting on the floor the whole 1h 20min. And my plan was to sleep, but somehow it didn't work out... Normally the trains are not so full, but everybody was going to Helsinki, because there was Finland-Sweden soccer game and NHL ice hockey game (Anaheim Ducks against Buffalo Sabres).
Finally at 6pm I arrived to Pasila where Jutta was waiting for me. We drove to Lohja, ate, and got ready for the night. Before 9pm we went to sit to some pub, and I found really good drinks! I don't like normal long drink, but cranberry long drink is ok. But they had many different flavor long drinks, so I took mango and orange, they were yammy!
At 10pm we went to Lohi -night club (lohi means salmon :D), but Apulanta didn't start until midnight, even a little bit after. But they were great, as usual. But in the audience there were some stupid girls who didn't even watch Apulanta, they were just jumping all around smashing in to everybody.
Apulanta stopped playing a little bit before 2am and we left quite soon after that. It was really great night, more these please! :)
On Saturday we woke up a little bit before 11am and I was still half sleeping when Essi called. So we woke up, got us ready and we drove to Raaseborg's castle (or however you call that). It has been a nice castle, but somepoint it has been rejected (between years 1500-1600), so it's not perfect anymore. But it was nice, we took some pictures and walked around. And there were just couple other people! There you are supposed to pay 2 euros, but we were too lazy to walk to that house and nobody was asking tickets so we didn't pay.
After that we were driving around, and I wanted to get a picture from the "King's Road" - sign, but we couldn't find other one and we were looking it forever! Finally we found it and we left Karjaa, and we went to eat to ABC Karjaa. I'm not getting enough of hamburgers ;)
Our trip to Raaseborg took quite long so in the afternoon we came back home. And rest of the day we were just hanging out, watching tv and reading Facebook fluffs, that's so much fun! You can just think how stupid people are and you realize that you are quite clever by yourself ;)
On Sunday we woke up before 8am and my bus left 9.15am. So 1h 20min to Helsinki, then waiting there 35min and then the bus from Helsinki to Valkeakoski 2h. It's a long way. My dad picked me up from the bus station in Valkeakoski and I just got ready and our relatives came to my sister's birthday.
Later when everybody was gone I was talking with my hostfamily on skype! <3 Finally!! First I was talking with my hostdad and P, and later they called again when my hostmum was home also and T and baby! My baby was so biig! :( I miss them so much! P was just telling me all the time "I miss you" and I tried to tell her that I know but tell me about your school, friends etc. :D But it felt so good to talk with them! I didn't get to change to talk with S because he was in his friend's house. But hope so next time! :)
Later I went for a walk with my mum, we walked fast one hour. And after that I was really tired, I don't know why. I was watching finnish comedy show "Pull out of the hat", and after that 9.30pm I went to sleep :D
Today my plans are still open. I should go through all my USA pictures and order what I want. I'm going to buy a super big photo frame to my wall and put it full of pictures from US! And I still would like to do scrap book for myself, I already made one for my hostfamily.
